Much money in the Bank

We like to keep our finances in credit

Much money in the Bank

Cur statement came today and we both read it.

We've so much cash we spend it like there will be no tomorrow,

We even have to save some, more in anger than in sorrow,

We have visits from Fred Capelin to see what he can borrow,

Much money in the Bank.

Much aggro in the street

We paint slogans all around the village hall.

Much aggro in the street

You'll find OGRES RULE OK on every wall.

We pinched a children’s lollipop and took our turns to lick it,

A Dursley Bobby came along and gave us both a ticket,

We turned to him and said "Now Phil, you know that isn't cricket,"

Much aggro in the street.

Much taxing of the wealth

We take subsidies from those who can’t• afford it

Much taxing of the wealth

We steal a granny’s pension and we hoard it.

We commandeer the riches the departed do bequeath,

We cream off peoples earnings till it makes them want to seethe,

If necessary we will tax the air that people breathe,

Much taxing of the wealth.

Much terror in the town,

We like to put the wind up all the people,

Much terror in the town,

We lock up Stanley Davies in the steeple.

We go down to the post office with masks and stockings on,

We threaten Ray and Cynthia by pointing with a gun,

But when we try to hold them up we find they weigh a ton,

Much terror in the town.

An explanation:

Fred Capelin was a Bank Manager

Phil was the village policeman

Stanley Davies was the village Vicar and

Ray and Cynthia were village Postmasters.
